WEEK 15: Q AND A SESSION

In this very last entry, I need to answer few questions posted by Mdm Foziah...and this would be my official closure for my pbey310209 blog......

1. What do you like about blogging?

i love blogging.its not just about your writings and thoughts. but then it requires HOTS higher order thinking skills. what we write is being judge what we write is being ponder by the readr.as for me, it sometimes give me the freedom to speaks out whats in my mind. because sometime we are just soo afraid of what people going to say to us when we ask pathetic question in the classroom.so by blogging i usually pour everything that is in my head n heart. in this course, it's has been one of my closest friend since i need to update my readers on what is happening and reflect on my understanding based on what i have learned in the classroom.it is what i called my "diary".

2. What you do not like about blogging?

- alright as usual there would be pros and cons..in everything we do..well, in blogging. one of teh reason I dont like about blogging is sometimes we are not aware of what we write may be indirectly hurts peoples feeling eventhough it's unintended. and sometimes, the way people convey their word it has double meaning which mean its ambigious.we may interpret this way and the second person may interpret negatively. 

3. What have you gained from blogging eg. Language skills, improved fluency, critical thinking, improved thought processes, technology skills etc.

-through blogging: i was able to expand my thought and be more critical in my writings so that it will portray the maturity level of a person. the next best thing, i became more aware of my language,before this may be i have face the limitation of vacabularies but then through blogging bit kinda help in a way to enhance my langauage proficency. it is proven that through blogging i was to enhance my language skills and technology skills.

4. How?

-HOW? like i have said earlier..the more u write the more advanced u become. In terms of language skills, communication writing and also critical thinkings.

5. What do you like about this course?

i have learned the new methods of doing tutorials..its all about "PRINT SCREEN THE STEPS TO DO IT". honestly, i realized that throughout the 14 weeks i have learned things that has to do with technology basis.and i had made a conclusion that this course is more to technology rather than resources in the primary classroom. and may be the aim of this course is to make future teacher be more creative in manipulating the technology.

7. What have you learnt from this course?

i have learned...like i have stated earlier..."PRINT SCREEN METHODS"..its all bout tutorial after tutorials. hinestly im not sure what i have learned but what i can say about this course is more to "independent learning"where I didnt learned anything in the classroom but we are supposed to explore it on our own.i have learned on my own..audio editing video editing photo editing elt coursware..dont you realized its all technology based. I sometime feel like im a multimedia students..hehehe

8. What have you learnt from this course that you did not expect to?

i have learned so many technology things...for example audio editing video editing. which sometime i felt a bit contra to the title of the course which is resources in primary classroom. but then i keep it on myt optimist side, may be this is one of the resource to used in primary classroom.

9. What have u expected but do not learn from this course?

i have expected to learned what are the technological teahciong aids that can be use in the classroom. but i was thinking if there were chances, we can make like a simulated teaching.so that it would be clearer to us on how to apply all the teachnological teaching aids in the classroom environment. and the we can learned from each other on what needs to be improved and what not.

10. If you can change anything about this course, state what is and elaborate?

the amount of task is kinda the same as the amount of assinments. i think all the task needs to have marks since the amount of time spent doing the task is about the same as the assignments.

we work really hard to produce quality work so at least it is beneficial to us to be given marks on each task.

i would love to have some"teaching session" on how to used certain software for example audio editing.personally, i had no experience handling these audio video things it was my first time, as a first timer if there were guidance and some teaching session it woulod be essential, if not it would be a little demotivated. this is part of my own personal experience. 

overall, i think this course gives a major impact in me in introducing to me "PRINT SCREEN METHODS" and all teh technological teaching aids.it was a great journey!!

WEEK 14: submission of assignments&examination

Hello everyone and salam.......

Oh my GOD!!......one word that came out from my mouth...

"da minggu ke 14??"

it the final week before we our final exam..

Woweee!! TIME FLIES!!....

This semester had been really busy hectic..i didnt even have time to update my own personal blog..i was so afraid i couldnt catch up with all teh workloads..

With good time management...I kinda realized how important to be an organised person..so that we know our priority.

With all the long sigh~~...me n my friend..

We managed to completed each assignments on time and in a good quality..

For the lesson plan it was thick as thick as the quality we present..we work very hard as groupmates to come up with great teaching aids and lesson plan.

I hope all these hardwork will paid off.

Next week revision week...

Gosh!! so many things went through my mind..

I just hope all the coursework will get good marks..since I have been working really hard for all the assignment that had been assigned to us. there are 7 papers all together...I just hope for the best..I will work smart and try to cover all the topics that are going to come out for the exam..

As for resources, there were a lot to study...I mean it!!..but then luckily Mdm Foziah gives us tips so it kinda makes our life at ease. but then if you dont have an effort then it would be useless..

Alright people...I'am about to end my entry...I'am glad that I was given the chance to blog this course..throughout this 14 weeks..it was a good experience especially in terms of sharing thoughts and ideas.

I end my entry with a quote..its a special quote....as a reminder whatever we face in this world we have GOD that will always be with us no matter what...

WEEK 13: TIME MANAGEMENT!!

"TIME WILL NOT WAIT!!"

Salam everyone!!

See the above phrase in big letters ??

Yess!! for this last week of class, everything is cramped, it does'nt matter what subject ...everything needs to be submitted within the due date given.

It kinda scares me...Im so afraid if I can't managed my time well.

Well, basically this week we were supposed to submit our second assignments  on "Collection of Technological Teaching Aids"...

unfortunately....it was POSTPONED!!! haha..

Do you want to know why??

Because Puan.Foziah wants us to inculdes the new software that we had learned this week in the assignments. The new software was "Microsoft Publisher" I think everyone of us knew what is that software about.

We can create technological teaching aids through this software, so, besides the six elements now we have to add on one more which is under Publisher.

Luckily, it was postpones then we would have extra time to do it and even explore!!

Besides that, the exam date was change from 22nd of Oct to 28th of OCT...now everything is all cramped up in a week...

Im stressed!!!

I feel like I wanted to S.C.R.E.A.M~~~!!!

alright riena,,take a deep breathe!!

WEEK 12: VIDEO VIEWING

hello everyone!!

"sometimes hard work does'not paid off"

I kinda agree with the phrase..

but never mind...

for todays class it was fine.

the video viewing session it was ok.

everybody came out with great videos.

but at the end of the videos session my video was commented

it was not a good comment, I don't know what went wrong. 

The storyboard was approved but then when the final video was shown it was not valid..hummmm....

[im being optimist :)]

but frankly I was proud of what I did with my partner.

and everyone that had watched the video said there was a message and it was crystal clear in the video.

My partner will upload it in the youtube for everyone to watch it.

I had nothing much to say in this entry, well..

enjoyed the video..

WEEK 11: ARTICLE PRESENTATION!!

SALAM EVERYONE!!

I would like to start off my entry by......

Congratulating all the groups that had presented the article!!

They did  A GOOD JOB!!

From that prsentation, me my self personally had gained so much knowledge about "THE USE OF TECHNOLOGY IN THE CLASSROOM". It was a great article.

Each group had their own ideas on the use of technology, I sometimes relate the presentaion in real life situation whether it is possible or not to integrate the use of technology in Malaysia classroom.Even though nowadays more school are trying to integrate but we need to think in terms of teachers capability to handle the tools because when it comes to technology we need to have the knowledge to handle it.

May be in Malaysia context, teacher themselves need to be fully equipped so that they are able to manipulate the facilities provided in the classroom.

As class moves on, we were discussing on the assignments, getting clarification on what to do next. It seems like the instruction was not clear, there were a little bit of confusion happens today..

Most of the people thinks that the video was our 2nd assignments but then it was wrong.the video was only task to be submitted not assignments.

The second assignments was "collection of technological teaching aids" whihc was due on the 15th of  OCT ...everyone sat down for a while to consume everything it kinda gives me a headache because we were not sure what to do until today..

THANK GOD!!!..Since everything is clear now...

I need to get my back on my FEET..ready to work on the workloads.

Yeay!!! no more raya mode sharina!!

WEEK 10: RAYA RAYA vs ASSIGNMENTS

hello to all my dearest cohort four..

well, this entry i will focussed on.."minta maaf sesion to all the people that i know and to all the people taht i have hurts their feelings intendedly or not. halal kan makan dan minum riena....

well for this week class, nothing much happen everybody was in raya mood, cant think of anything else but home sweet home, the traffic jem, the hari raya songs keep playing in my head and my plan for the rest of raya holiday...

Honestly, I was not in the mood to go to class, since some of my friends had gone back to their hometown due to limitation of bus tickets, "musim perayaan it's normal"

week 9: V.I.D.E.O editing

Salam Everyone!!

Hows your day??? mine?

Its getting HECTIC each and everyday...

Well today, I have something to share with all of you..

Today's class was all about "VIDEO EDITING"

from the word it self you would know what to expect..

ahuh!!! remember youtube??of course aite??

Puan foziah, showed us few videos that her friend made, I think if I was not mistaken it was from Korean Movie perhap. all the videos she showed us was from a static pictures combines add some transition and wording tada!! It becomes a wonderful collection of pictures in Video format.

It was cool!!

I really like making videos...especially the aim is for FUN..hehe

alrite lets get back to the task assigned to us.

the task:

we need to create our own videos and the task is to be done in pairs.

my partner is Celus, we have came out with our own storyboards. fortunately our ideas have been APPROVED by Puan Foziah.

and now we are in the progress making our own video...copyright :)

week 8: task submission !!

hello everyone..

I just want to say sorry ..

I havent update my blog since ermmm last few weeks

I know its not the a good way of doing work..procastinate n everything

but things just got out of hand..

now I'am back in piece

alright this week 8, we have submitted our task

• e-Book (tutorials , Softcopy, slides)
• Photo Editing (tutorials)

It was raining  heavily outside...so not everybody could make it on time to submit the task.

The atmosphere of the classroom was hectic everybody was hustling here and there. trying to get everything right. Since it was our first time submitting tasks for this subject, I can tell everyone couldnt get it right on how it was supposed to be submitted.

and on that very DAY...

I made a big mistake!!!

I DID NOT PRINT OUT MY E-BOOK as hardcopy huhu

I regret it so much since I can't passed up in hardcopy.

I totally forgot, I think it was my mistake for not reading the instruction given. but nevermind even though I regret it things happen for a reason, I know and I have learned my LESSON..

alrite, the whole time i was in the class for three hours it was all about task submission..

nothing much happpen..

Hello to all my silent readers...

right now its in teh mids of "bulan rmadhan"

the month of holyness..

as for me im trying to appreciate it as much as i can..

it only comes once in a year!!

STRESSED.TENSION.RESTLESS.CANT THINK STRAIGHT.

I REALLY FEEL LIKE TO PUKE..

i dont know whether i can handle it anymore.

right now my mind is working like a machine.

it never stops thinking

what needs to be done..

which is my priority..

for goodness sake I've finished and completed my "E-BOOK"..

For this week..it has never been hectic like this before...:P

I feel like smiling sarcastically..haha trying to enjoy my work loads!!

there are major changes on how to submit the [task for e-book,audio,photo editting]..

fortunately..the task is being postponed TUESDAY 01/09/09...

this week highlight "audio editting"...

Its all about on how to edit the audio, making it more interesting,easy listening. there are many software availables which we can creatively edit audio.

I have tried once using audacity and sound forge but its only the basic part of editting for example fade in fade out..I think I need to explore in the world of audio editting to do my task..

need to push my self to the max..

week 6: E- BOOK !!!

Its already in my sixth week im here in UM..

wowweee...time flies...just can't believe it!!

Its like flipping through the pages of the book without even bother to read..I think thats how fast my life goes..

Hello and Salam everyone...

Well, as usual I love this class.each week I enter this class..

I know I would gain "new knowledge"...

I'm always surprised what technology can do to benefits us..theres soo many things that we dont know..

I know I would not be able to catch up....but with this kind of "eye opener course"I could at least know some of invention of technology that could help me as a future teacher to create a more creative and authentic technological teaching aids which will anticipate the learners to learn.

Have You Ever Heard of "E-BOOK"?

Well this week Puan.Foziah introduce to us what is an "E-BOOK"..and what wonders can it do to teaching fields.she even showed us some of her student's work as a concrete example; all of them were creative I was so amazed..on how we as a future teacher can create this kind of stuff for the future generation to learn. 

SOUND INTERESTING RIGHT??

Guess what?? I ...My Self need to do an E-BOOK....haha...

Now I'am starting to draft out my "kinda like a simple story board" on how my story line should be...ermm never thought it would be this hard creating a childrens story...but it will be in pwrpoint slides.. :)

lately, im having this mood of "procastinating my work load"..

This is a danger sign shariena!!!..I need to push my self to do it..!!

besides that, we also listen to mdm foziah lecturers..

it's interesting..because i find editting pictures is FUN...

I LOVE DOING IT!!!! making pictures more lively..and beautiful...

week 4: same page

salam and hye too all!!!

This week had been tough for me..

firstly..i dunno why third year student cant bring their cars into UM.

as it never happens before..so im kinda wondering if these policy had been applied before.

it really made my life miserable..i think not only me but others too..alrite better stop whinning...because its not even related to my resource in class...

[sigh.......sigh.....sigh...]

this week post im going to start with my "WORK LOADS"..

 im kinda dissapointed in my self, you all must remember the new year resolution??we'll i always renew mine..for this year ad i opened my diary it stated that i dont want to procastinate my work...well....thats only in teh begining of the year where..you will fesl all enthusiastic..to kinda commit to your resolution.. 

but....

for me, im starting to like..forgeting my resolution for this year...im procastinating my work..haha good job for me!!! now im in BIG TROUBLE....too many things to do with soo little time.

everything is meeting dateline..whether i like it or not..got to burn my mid nite oil..got to list up what are my priorities every week...

step 1: i just need to finished up my "internet modules skills"before i start the photoshop editting..which is next week..

step 2: i need to read chapter two and do power point slides.

step 3: i need to do the summary thingy..for text book if im not ,mistaken..

im learning from my mistake tho'....and try not to procastinate my work..:)

im sure everyone of us is in the "same page" as me!!!..

WEEK 3: WARMING UP THE ENGINE!!

WOLLA..my readers!!

this post is going to be interesting..[smile]

im going to share some of the thing that i've learned

for like the past 3 hours in my resource class.

believe it or not

"im enjoying EVERY BITS OF IT"

i love when i get to do things at my own pace

perhap, i bet no one would like to be "force"

especially in terms of doing work.

am rite??rite??......

for this week..im learning about the "INTERNET SKILLS"

so basically i'll be indulging my self into the world of ICT. and surfing the internet to the max!!

it's interesting because it's my first time doing the

[step by step on how to get something/information from the internet]

i'll show you some of the step that i did...

which involved...tada!!!

1- The used of internet obviously it's internet skills honey..

2- Searching for things online like MP3, pictures, animation and etc..

3- The best part of it is"PRINT SCREEN"hahah...I get kinda excited.

[dont laugh at me it's been like forever i did do this kind of things, i remember the last time i

did it was like when i was form 5 haha...]

4- Here are the print screen that im all EXCITED ABOUT"

5- Actually, all this print screen and everything are part of my assignments in "internet modules"..

6- I will be doing a lot of "this" for this course...[i hope i will never get tired of doing this hehe]

7- Just bear in mind that this is only the first part of it...there would be 4 other elemets to go!!!

alrite, my life could never been this busy...

i will write more..

it seems like everything is under control..
as far as im concerned...

this is already the third week of the semester
so it's like 11 weeks left before "THE FINAL"
time pass by..you just cant realize how fast it goes

JUGGLING MY TIME.

The naked truth of this course...

I have put aside all my negative thoughts that i have heard before i enter this class.

It does not matter whether i heard it from someone or somebody...

Today was my second class of resourses..

To tell you the truth im starting to enjoyed this class..and I hoped I dont screwed up and give up..

So for this week lecturers we've learned about "CHAPTER ONE:WORKING WITH YOUNG LEARNERS"

It is merely about what were the charateristics of young learners and i also had indentifed some of the skills that of a young learners would bring in the classroom. what are the significant approach i could used in the teaching them to acquired the language. Learners are different in their own ways. Even in term of interpeting words that had been uttered  by the teacher in the classroom. 

As for me, I had the experienced of playing with my own imagination I even had my own imaginary friend, in the youth stage, imagination plays a vital role in developing language and also intellectual. It really affected me as a learner, I become more creative in my thinking. I even believed that my imaginary friends need food and water to live..then at certain age, i stop talking to my imaginary friend..but I know it really helps to stimulate my creativeness.

This week resources class we did all sort of thing besides reading the Chapter One, we even get our own book the tittle "PREPARING AND USING ViSUAL AIDS FOR ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEACHING".

[hummmm sound interesting !!! cant wait to learn!!]

then, we proceed in forming group for the FIVE SKILLS we need to acquire in the resources class.

*video editting skill

*photo editting skill

*software for ELT [im in this group :) ]

All of the leaders in each group were busy compiling everything for our usage in future and i know this would really benefits us in completing the assignments!!

Thank you to Pn. Foziah great ideas  and planned by doing this everyone will get a copy on how to do the assignment at least it gives us the gist of ideas and guidance.

its only the start

hello readers..

i have start my life in Um..[big smile]
mostly things are still in the mode of "adapting and taking everything under control..

its not only that i need to adapt...the most important things..
i need to get my self ready to face the uni.life..which is still new for me..

well in this blog i would like to share some thoughts and ideas...
about my life in uni.malaya...

hows the course n everything...and sometimes there are things i need to clarify but i couldnt and hopefully through blogging ..my readers..can share a few words..
